David married Christine Holland at St Catherine's in Lowton on the 29th September 1971. My mum reliably informs me that they were painting the outside of their new house at 10 pm the night before the wedding.

The wedding reception was held at Lowton Civic Hall which was managed by Christine's mum and dad, Kathleen and Ken Holland.

They had no honeymoon, due to buying their house, but had a night out at Batley variety club with their friends !

Davids mum Edna proudly wore her pink hat again to Stephanie's wedding in 1998.
